DCCU Scholarships

DCCU has been awarding scholarships since 1995.  We see our scholarship program as another way we give back to our community and help make an impact in the lives of students and their families.  Investing in local students represents our commitment and passion for education as we help ease the stress of paying for college.

2024 Scholarship Contest

DCCU is committed to helping students achieve their higher educational goals. In 2024, DCCU will offer a $1,000 scholarship to the following:

  • One graduating senior at each of the twenty-eight high schools in our membership area
  • One graduating senior attending a private school, is home schooled, or is a DCCU member attending school outside of our membership area
  • One student attending a technical school pursuing certification/licensure training1
  • One adult student (age 23 or older) pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree1
  • One student pursuing a master's or doctoral degree1

Please share any personal insights or research you may have about an experience where DCCU has made a positive impact on someone’s financial well-being. How does this experience inspire you to pursue a career opportunity with an organization that is focused on the well-being of others to support its mission?

Scholarship applicants must submit an original essay in response to the questions above. Essays must be between 500 (minimum) and 750 (maximum) words.
