HSA
Health Savings Accounts
If you qualify for a Health Savings Account (HSA), you can save for future qualified medical and retiree health expenses on a tax-free basis. These accounts must be opened at a DCCU Member Center.
Key Benefits:
- Tax-free employer contributions
- Possibly tax-deductible contributions
- Interest or other earnings in the account are tax-deferred
Good for Members who:
- Are covered by a qualified High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP)
- Don't already have a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to cover medical costs

Individual Retirement Accounts
Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA) are a great way to prepare for retirement. Start saving today and open one of our IRA Savings or Certificates. These accounts must be opened at a DCCU Member Center or online through Retirement Central.

Savings Account

- Earns dividends - computed daily, paid monthly
- 6 penalty-free withdrawals each month
Good for Members who:
- Want to earn a higher return than a simple savings account

Savings Accounts
Club accounts are savings accounts that help you save for a specific purpose. Certificates are monies invested that cannot be accessed for a certain period of time and provides the opportunity to earn a higher return on your money compared to a simple savings account, but allows access to your funds when you need it.
Club Accounts:
- Club account funds are available at any time
- Club accounts earn the same dividends as a Share Savings Account
- For members looking to build an emergency fund or save for Christmas, a club account may be best.
Certificates:
- Certificate dividends are compounded monthly and paid monthly
- For members looking to grow their investment over a set period of time, a Certificate may be the better option.
